The Venezuelan Amazon region represented by a Yanomamo woman in all her splendour with red macaw wings.

Drum music is heard along the coast villages on the country especially June 24th, for the feast of St. John the Baptist.
Brought to Venezuela by the slaves from Africa, drums are intrinsic to our folklore.
Diablos de Yare, 46" x 52" acrylic
The "Diablos de Yare" II. are also part of our folklore. On June 25th, Corpus Christi, the devils dance all day and night and finally seek pardon of their sins at the village church in San Francisco de Yare since colonial times.

Coconut trees proliferate along the coasts of Venezuela supplying a most delicious source of fresh water and shelter for all birds.
